A local luxury retailer in the heart of downtown Dallas is getting another North Texas site.
Forty Five Ten is slated to open a store in Fort Worth in September. It will be located near the cultural district, which includes the city’s well-known art museums, according to Dallas-based Headington Cos., the parent of the retailer.
The new site is set to offer “an immersive shopping experience” that features luxury fashion, accessories and home design, along with a new in-store dining concept with Cafe Mirador in Fort Worth, it said.
It’s making the expansion after the Dallas site already was welcoming customers from the other city, so it felt like a natural step.
The company “chose to expand westward in response to the exciting growth of Fort Worth’s cultural and culinary scene, along with the recent boom in lifestyle and luxury developments — particularly in the cultural district,” it said. “It’s an opportunity to introduce two of our most celebrated Dallas concepts to a vibrant, design-forward audience in a city that shares our passion for art, fashion, and elevated hospitality.”
Fort Worth is in growth mode. It recently surpassed a population of 1 million and had the fifth-largest numeric gain in residents between July 2023 and July 2024 among sizable cities, according to the U.S. Census. And Cowtown has attracted its share of luxury brands, including at Clearfork, where shoppers can find names such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton.

Forty Five Ten complements the city’s ongoing evolution, the company said in a statement.
“While Fort Worth has long supported a strong retail community, there remains a growing demand for expanded access to globally recognized designers and curated, high-end fashion,” it said. “The addition of Forty Five Ten not only meets that demand but also enhances the broader lifestyle offerings now emerging in the city.”
North Texas stores
The store in Dallas sits at the heart of downtown, roughly across the street from Neiman Marcus, a store that’s undergone an evolution of sorts after becoming part of Saks Global. In 2014, Headington acquired Forty Five Ten, and two years later relocated from its original location on McKinney Avenue to its current site. Prior to the pandemic, it had other locations as well.
The new store will be at 3220 W. 7th St., close to the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and The Crescent Hotel.
The Fort Worth store will offer a curated selection of products and will introduce select brands that will be carried exclusively.
“The new location will feature women’s apparel, accessories, fine jewelry, and home goods — each thoughtfully chosen to reflect the spirit and style of Fort Worth,” it said.
Many brands from different parts of the world will be on display, with names such as Bode, Khaite, Maticevski, Thom Browne, Jil Sander and Maison Margiela.
Cafe Mirador
For Cafe Mirador, the store introduces a new chapter in the evolution of the Dallas restaurant. About a third of the size of the existing eatery, it is designed “as a more intimate, lifestyle-driven expression of the brand” that’s in keeping with the Cultural District in Fort Worth.
“We know how much our clients enjoy making a shopping excursion a social outing, so we see Cafe Mirador as integral to how we’ll welcome the community every day,” Anne Wallach, Forty Five Ten president, said in a statement.
The abbreviated menu focuses on what it calls fresh, elevated fare that complements the cafe’s “leisurely vibe.” It’s available Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“The emphasis on seasonality, originality, and modern American cuisine that has made Mirador successful remains at the heart of everything we do,” said Travis Wyatt, executive chef, who also oversees the culinary direction at Café Mirador. “For this new café expression, we’re thinking a little lighter: champagne, tasting bites, elevated lunches.”
