Dave Campbell’s Texas Football magazine released its preseason high school football state rankings this week and Dallas-area teams feature prominently across the UIL’s top classifications.
In Class 6A alone, 18 Dallas-area schools check into DCTF’s top 50 in the state, including the top three. Southlake Carroll, 6A Division II state runner-up in 2024, ranked No. 1 followed by defending 6A-I state champions North Crowley and Duncanville.
Dallas-area schools also feature prominently in the Class 5A rankings with 17 programs ranked. Differing from 6A, those are are split into two top 25s for Division I and II. Aledo at No. 1 in 5A-I and South Oak Cliff at No. 2 in 5A-II are the top area schools in the rankings. There are 17 Dallas-area schools ranked in Class 5A.
Defending champs Celina come in as the top school in the Class 4A Division I rankings after capturing its historic ninth state title last year. It is one of just five Dallas-area schools ranked in 4A.
