Cowboys’ Micah Parsons shares optimistic social media message amid ongoing contract wait

Parsons shared a few photos from this week’s minicamp, including one where he stood alongside Jerry Jones at The Star in Frisco.

Micah Parsons seemed to be in pretty high spirits after the Dallas Cowboys’ mandatory minicamp workouts ended Thursday.

The star pass rusher took to Instagram on Thursday evening, where he shared an optimistic message along with a few photos from minicamp. For those who need a reminder, Parsons is currently seeking a contract extension from the Cowboys.

“God’s timing is perfect even when it feels delayed,” Parsons wrote on social media.

One of the photos Parsons posted saw him standing next to Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones at The Star in Frisco. The Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins recently reported that Parsons and Jones had a nearly 25-minute conversation during Tuesday’s minicamp practice.

Parsons said he did not talk about his contact situation with Jones. The two just chatted about how his offseason is going.

Parsons was in attendance for all three days of the team’s mandatory minicamp. He is seeking a contract that would make himone of the highest-paid players in league history for a non-quarterback.
